چکیده

This article describes two approaches for computing the line-of-sight between objects in real terrain data. Our purpose is to find an efficient algorithm for combat elements in warfare simulation such as soldiers, troops, vehicles, ships, and aircrafts, thus allowing a simulated combat theater.

Estimation of LOS Rates for Target Tracking Problems using EKF and UKF Algorithms- a Comparative Study

One of the most important problem in target tracking is Line Of Sight (LOS) rate estimation for using from PN (proportional navigation) guidance law. This paper deals on estimation of position and LOS rates of target with respect to the pursuer from available noisy RF seeker and tracker measurements. Due to many important for exact estimation on tracking problems must target position and Line O...

Reverse Subdivision for Optimizing Visibility Tests

Certain applications require knowledge of whether two entities are visible to each other over a terrain, determined using a line-of-sight computation. Several fast algorithms exist for terrain line-of-sight computations. However, performing numerous line-of-sight computations, particularly over a large terrain data set, can be highly resource-intensive (in run time and/or memory). Methods from ...

مکان یابی وفقی موبایل به روش آزمون باقی‌مانده

Determination of mobile localization with time of arrival (TOA) signal is a requirement in cellular mobile communication. In some of the previous methods, localization with non-line-of-sight (NLOS) paths can lead to large position error. Also for simplicity, in most simulations suppose non stationary actual environments as stationary. This paper proposes (residual test + recursive least square)...

Urban Terrain Multiple Target Tracking Using The Probability Hypothesis Density Particle Filter

The tracking of multiple targets becomes more challenging in complex environments due to the additional degrees of nonlinearity in the measurement model. In urban terrain, for example, there are multiple reflection path measurements that need to be exploited since line-of-sight observations are not always available. Multiple target tracking in urban terrain environments is traditionally impleme...

Algorithms for visibility computation on terrains: a survey

Several environment applications require the computation of visibility information on a terrain. Examples are optimal placement of observation points, line-of-sight communication, and computation of hidden as well as scenic paths. Visibility computations on a terrain may involve either one or many viewpoints, and range from visibility queries (for example, testing whether a given query point is...
